Problem Statement

Unified Digital Health Record System with Voice-Enabled Prescription and Government Integration for Seamless Healthcare Delivery

In the current healthcare ecosystem, patients often struggle to maintain a centralized, comprehensive, and easily accessible record of their medical history, including diagnoses, treatments, lab reports, and prescriptions. This fragmentation leads to inefficiencies in diagnosis, treatment, and continuity of care. Furthermore, doctors face challenges in quickly accessing patient history, which can hinder the quality and timeliness of care, especially during critical interactions. There is also a growing need for modern tools to streamline clinical documentation. Physicians often spend significant time on manual data entry, reducing the time available for patient engagement. An integrated system that allows doctors to generate digital prescriptions and notes using voice recognition during consultations can significantly enhance efficiency and reduce administrative burden. Additionally, there is limited interoperability between private healthcare systems and government health initiatives, which restricts the broader utility of health data for public health planning, disease surveillance, and policy making.

Problem Statement

Overcoming Barriers to the Adoption of AR, VR, and XR for Equitable Educational Access

Despite the transformative potential of Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), and Extended Reality (XR) technologies to create immersive and engaging educational experiences, their integration into mainstream education remains limited and largely experimental. Current implementations often fail to move beyond pilot phases or gimmicky applications, lacking the scalability and sustainability required to produce real-world impact. This shortfall hinders the ability to provide equitable access to high-quality, interactive learning, especially for students in underserved, rural, and resource-constrained areas. Moreover, educators face challenges in effectively leveraging these technologies due to insufficient tools, lack of training, and absence of streamlined platforms that facilitate content creation, real-time interaction, and performance assessment. There is a critical need for comprehensive solutions that empower faculty with intuitive authoring tools to design and deliver immersive lessons, track student engagement, and personalize learning pathways. Simultaneously, students require accessible platforms that offer interactive, multi-sensory learning experiences, collaborative opportunities, and adaptive feedback mechanisms that cater to diverse learning styles and needs. Addressing these challenges through innovative, scalable, and sustainable AR, VR, and XR solutions will enable a more inclusive and effective educational ecosystem, bridging the gap between technological potential and practical, widespread adoption.

Problem Statement

Enhancing Coastal Fishing Practices in India through Technology-Driven Solutions

Coastal fishing communities in India, while deeply rooted in traditional knowledge and experience, face escalating challenges in maintaining efficiency, territorial compliance, and sustainable practices. Fishermen typically rely on generational wisdom—such as wind patterns, time of day, and ocean behavior—to locate fish, but the absence of real-time technological support has led to significant inefficiencies and risks. Key issues include unintentional violations of maritime boundaries, which often result in legal and security consequences; inefficiencies in predicting fish movement and planning trips, leading to unnecessary fuel consumption and prolonged time at sea; and difficulties in enforcing seasonal fishing bans and monitoring catch volumes, contributing to overfishing and marine ecosystem degradation. Additionally, the lack of tools for optimizing net selection and trip routes hampers resource use and economic returns. These challenges not only threaten the environmental sustainability of coastal waters but also undermine the livelihoods of fishing communities and the broader economic resilience of India’s coastal regions. There is an urgent need for a technology-driven solution that integrates GPS, weather forecasting, and real-time ocean analytics to support informed decision-making, enhance territorial and environmental compliance, and ensure the long-term viability of India’s coastal fisheries.

Problem Statement

One Nation, One Athlete Platform: Ensuring Fairness, Access, and Opportunity in Sports

India’s sporting landscape is evolving rapidly, with growing participation across diverse sports and demographics. However, athlete management remains largely fragmented and inequitable, particularly for athletes from underrepresented communities, rural areas, and those with disabilities. Many aspiring athletes face systemic barriers such as lack of access to quality training, inadequate support for injury recovery, limited exposure to career development tools, and unequal access to financial and institutional resources. Coaches and sports organizations also struggle with the absence of centralized platforms to monitor athlete progress, ensure fair resource allocation, and foster inclusive talent development. The lack of a comprehensive, technology-driven athlete management system not only hampers individual growth but perpetuates disparities across the sporting ecosystem. There is a pressing need for a unified, inclusive platform that promotes equitable access to support systems—enabling performance tracking, personalized training plans, injury prevention, career and financial guidance, and tailored support for athletes of all abilities and backgrounds. Such a solution would play a critical role in ensuring no athlete is left behind, championing fairness, and nurturing diverse talent across India’s sports landscape.

Problem Statement

Next-Gen Voting: Automated Verification for Secure and Efficient Electoral Processes

India’s democratic process, while robust in scale, faces persistent challenges at the grassroots level—particularly during in-person voting at polling booths. The current manual voter verification system, which relies on physical voter ID checks and paper-based records, is slow, error-prone, and susceptible to manipulation or security breaches. This results in long queues, voter fatigue, delayed polling operations, and in some cases, decreased voter turnout. Additionally, manual methods are vulnerable to impersonation, duplicate voting, and human error, all of which compromise the integrity and efficiency of elections. There is an urgent need for a secure, technology-driven solution to automate and streamline the voter verification process at polling stations. Such a system should incorporate biometric authentication (e.g., fingerprint or facial recognition), real-time identity validation through Aadhaar or other government databases, and digital voter roll cross-referencing. To further enhance accessibility, multilingual interfaces and support for differently-abled voters should be integrated. The platform should also provide real-time data synchronization across polling booths to prevent duplicate voting, track voter turnout, and flag inconsistencies. Incorporating encrypted audit logs, offline verification fallback mechanisms, and blockchain or tamper-proof data storage can add additional layers of security and transparency. By modernizing and automating the verification process, elections can become faster, safer, more inclusive, and more trustworthy—strengthening the democratic fabric of the nation.

Problem Statement

Predict, Prepare, Respond: A Unified Platform for Disaster Management in India

India, due to its diverse geography and climate, is highly vulnerable to a wide range of natural and man-made disasters including floods, cyclones, earthquakes, landslides, and industrial accidents. However, disaster response efforts often suffer from a lack of coordination, inadequate communication channels, and fragmented resource management. The absence of a centralized, real-time disaster response and relay system leads to delayed mobilization of aid, inefficient allocation of relief resources, and prolonged suffering for affected populations. Relief materials are often either overstocked in unaffected areas or unavailable where they are urgently needed, while local authorities lack timely insights to make informed decisions. Currently, disaster response relies heavily on manual processes, reactive communication, and limited forecasting capabilities. There is a critical need for a robust, AI-powered platform that can not only predict potential disasters using historical and real-time data but also automate alerts, facilitate inter-agency communication, and optimize the allocation and tracking of emergency supplies. This system should include functionalities such as real-time damage assessment through satellite and drone imagery, automated public alert dissemination via SMS and local broadcast channels, dynamic resource mapping, and live dashboards for government agencies and NGOs to coordinate efforts. Additionally, integrating geospatial intelligence, crowd-sourced incident reporting, and multilingual interfaces would enhance the platform’s reach and usability across diverse regions. The platform should also provide simulation-based training modules for local disaster response teams and support post-disaster analytics to improve future preparedness. By leveraging these advanced capabilities, India can transition from reactive relief efforts to proactive, data-driven disaster resilience, ultimately saving lives, reducing economic losses, and strengthening community recovery.
